Fixed a bug while processing the Relock file which would cause it to hang if an old unlocker was in the wastebasket and was somehow still locked.
Added a one second timeout while waiting for Apple Event replies in case a reply gets lost somewhere.
Thanks to Niall for pointing out the second and therefore making me find the first during testing.

Significant changes from previous version
I didn't like forcing you to keep Relock on the desktop so I now look for it in the apple menu, the shutdown items folder and the startup items folder.

Release notes for Lockit 1.1.2. 14/4/97
Significant changes from previous version
Due to popular demand (thanks to Adrian Winnard and Rosalind Fuller) I have added a new feature to the password dialog.
The problem was that different system versions seem to handle open invisible folders in different ways, sometimes they are left open, sometimes they are closed immediately and sometimes they are closed at an unpredictable time in the future. This would happen if you unlock a locked folder with the 'Keep locked' check box on. This would then unhide it, open it and then hide it again, sometimes causing Finder to get a tad confused.
My solution is to allow you to delay the relock until you are ready by recording all files that should be relocked in a separate file called 'Relock' on your desktop. Launching LockIt with that file will relock all items whose relock has been delayed and clear their references from the file.
I would suggest you put an alias to 'Relock' into your shutdown items folder in your system folder. This should ensure that any files or folders that are due for relocking are locked before the next restart.
It's on the desktop because its actually not LockIt running when you unlock, its the unlocker. It doesn't know where the original Lockit is! So all it can do is put 'Relock' into a common and visible position, i.e. the desktop.
Entering the wrong password on unlock now works correctly. Previous versions lost the unlocker sometimes (thankyou Rosalind).
Lock File in the file menu has been disabled through lack of interest and some small inconsistencies between it and the drop interface.

The undelayed relock system sometimes acts a little strangely but it is really perfectly correct, I think there may be some glitches in the finder that may cause obscure effects. Trust me (as the bishop said to the actress)! If you are worried that something has gone wrong, close the parent folder and reopen it, everything should then show OK, or just delay the relock.
On rare occasions the Relock file tries to get opened by an old unlocker that has been moved to the trash. You get a message saying something like "Cant open … because the application that created it is in the wastebasket". If this happens, just empty the wastebasket and try again. I think I've fixed this but only time will tell.
Some very strange things start to happen if you drop 'Relock' onto a locked file/folder. Nothing catastrophic, just strange. Don't try it 'till I've fixed it please.

Release notes for Lockit 1.1.0. 31/1/97
Significant changes from previous version
Lockit will now relock the item if the check box in the password dialog is checked. This was not a trivial change! It involved some pretty drastic changes to AppleEvent handling so I hope I haven't introduced any significant bugs.

Release notes for Lockit 1.0.3. 27/1/97 Quickly replaced by 1.1.0 and probably never distributed.
Known Documented Features (Non-Painful)
Last minute testing revealed that locking from the menu rather than a drop causes the unlocker not to display the correct Icon. It comes out as a generic. Distinctly non-painful and I doubt if anyone will ever notice, the drop interface is so much easier to use. It might even be a Finder glitch.

All previous versions were considered unrealeasable.
